Heya, Peeps!
Today, I’m going to talk about writer’s block. (If you got writer’s block write now, here’s a link to help you. Ha. Did you get that pun?)
If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a thing where you can’t write at all. Well, you can still write, but you don’t know what. It’s like you want to do it, but you can’t because you don’t really know what. You get what I mean? I also get Art Block, it’s the same as writer’s block but for art. Anyway, you might be wondering why I’m talking about writer’s block. Well, I’m talking about writer’s block because I’m trying to write my story. The story I talked about before with my OC’s (original characters) in it. Yeah, that one. I figured out everything in the middle, but for the beginning and end, I have a problem.
Right now, I have a short plot on what could potentially happen. However, my characters don’t really fit well into the story. Well, some of them do. I would say about five fit in. Two others and possibly more, don’t. The two other ones are humans and their supposed to interact with the main character. But I have no idea how to introduce the characters. I asked my friend and she said to me, “Figure out the end first then move from the beginning towards the end.” It was a good tip, but it still was a big problem. I don’t just need the plot of the story, but the plot diagram of it.
What’s a plot diagram? A plot diagram is basically a diagram showing the plot’s exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. All of that creates the plot, which then creates the story. For now, I only have a few conflicts. Those conflicts will make up the story, somehow. If my writer’s block works out in the end. Since my friend told me her tip, I was going to use it to make my beginning. I know she said to do the ending, but I already did the middle and part of that middle is the end. So why not start at the beginning? Besides, I need to figure out how to introduce the characters. Welp, wish me luck peeps! That’s it for now, see you soon! 🙂
