I celebrate Christmas, but also other celebrations too!
DO YOU celebrate this?
Heya PEEPS! I’m back with another post for the week. Explaining about all the different celebrations I celebrate and MORE!
First, let me tell what I ALREADY celebrate and I hope you celebrate this to (you should be celebrating this…right?)
- Easter
- Halloween
- Christmas
- New Years
- Independence Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- St. Patrick Day
- Buddha Day
- Thanksgiving
- (The most important one, probably) Birthdays
So, yeah, these celebrations you should be celebrating already. Ahem, especially Birthdays, but what you’re about to read are the extra celebrations that I ALSO celebrate. Ready?
- Buddha Day
Mmmk. I know, it was in my previous list. But, I celebrate that, you don’t really have to. But at least you guys can celebrate something else like that. Basically, for my school, I actually celebrate Buddha Day for one reason. To get out of school.
Nah, just kidding with ya.
I normally just celebrate Buddha Day, not because of no school, but because of how he first became enlighted. Which is another story for another day.
2. Chinese New Year
(Picture on the top of the screen)
Yep, I also celebrate the Chinese New Year. Which is the same thing, but in Chinese. Usually, my family and I go to Chinatown and eat dim sum. After that, we watch kung fu on stage, participate in lion dances, and go shopping for stuff. It’s really fun once you get to be part of it.
3. Mooncake Festival
Ok, same exact thing for the Chinese New Year. All except for one thing, Mooncakes. You just basically do whatever during the day and at night, you eat a scrumptious dessert called a Mooncake. It’s really good. Well, some of them. There are different flavors. One of my favorites is the Lotus Mooncake. Which is also my mother’s favorite.
That’s about all the celebrations I do! I know it’s only three, but hey, they’re all different to what you celebrate! Right? Comment down below to tell me all about you are celebrating (or a link to your post would be fine), and if they’re the same! Thank you for reading, reader! Bye for now! And a Merry Christmas! 😆
